2. Electromagnetic Induction in Betatron: The betatron uses an alternating magnetic field to accelerate charged particles, typically electrons, that move within a circular path. This changing magnetic field induces an electric field tangential to the particle trajectory. This induced electric field acts on the moving electrons, providing them with acceleration.
3. Acceleration Process: As the magnetic field changes, it induces an electric field in the circular path where electrons travel. This induced electric field accelerates the electrons along the circular path, making them gain energy. The energy gained by the electrons is proportional to the strength and frequency of the changing magnetic field.
